YOMP: march with heavy equipment over difficult terrain
YOLK: the yellow internal part of a bird's egg which is rich in protein and fat and nourishes the developing embryo
YLEM: (big bang theory) the primordial matter of the universe, originally conceived as composed of neutrons at high temperature and density
YOKE: something regarded as oppressive or burdensome
YOWL: a loud wailing cry of pain or distress
YAWP: harsh or hoarse cry for help (2) foolish or noisy talk (3) shout or exclaim hoarsely
YAWS: a contagious or tropical disease caused by a bacterium that enters the skin abrasions and causes small crusted lesions which may develop into deep ulcers

YELP: a short, sharp cry especially of pain or alarm
YIKES: expressing shock and alarm for humorous effect
YIPS: extreme nervousness
